Which Size is Right for Your Child?
2ft6 Small Single
The small single is a brilliant first bed for younger children moving out of a cot or toddler bed. It fits neatly into smaller rooms and leaves plenty of floor space for play. With drawer storage options available, it punches well above its size for practicality.
3ft Single
Our most popular size. The single divan is the go-to choice for primary and secondary school-age children. It offers a comfortable sleeping space, fits in most standard bedrooms, and is available with 2 or 4 drawers for excellent storage.
4ft Small Double
A great transitional size for older children and teenagers who want more space but whose room isn't quite big enough for a full double. It's also a smart long-term investment — comfortable well into adulthood.
4ft6 Double
The double divan is ideal for teenagers who want a grown-up bedroom feel. With four drawer options available, it offers maximum storage and a generous sleeping surface that will last for years.
How to Measure Your Room
Before ordering, measure your room carefully:
- Measure the floor space where the bed will sit, including space to open drawers (allow at least 50cm in front of each drawer)
- Check the doorway, hallway and staircase width — divan bases split in two, making them much easier to manoeuvre than solid frames
- Leave at least 60–70cm on each side of the bed for comfortable access
A Note on Drawer Storage
All our divan beds are available with no drawers, 2 drawers or 4 drawers. Side-opening and end-opening options are available depending on your room layout — worth considering before you order if space is tight on one side.
