- Check your order confirmation for the number of boxes to expect
What to Expect on Delivery Day
Our beds are delivered flat-packed by a courier service. Delivery is typically to your front door or ground floor. Please note:
- Deliveries are made Monday to Friday during standard hours
- You'll receive a tracking notification when your order is dispatched
- Large items may require two people to carry inside
- Inspect all boxes for damage before signing
Tools You'll Need
Divan ottoman beds require minimal tools as most components connect without screws. You'll typically need:
- A second pair of hands for lifting the divan base sections
- A Phillips head screwdriver (for attaching the headboard)
- An Allen key (usually included for headboard fixings)
Step-by-Step Assembly Overview
Full instructions are included in the box, but here's a general overview of how a divan ottoman bed goes together:
- Position the two divan base sections in the room and join them together using the linking bar or connector provided
- Attach the gas-lift pistons to the base if not pre-fitted
- Test the lift — the base should rise smoothly and stay open on its own
- Attach the headboard to the Ottoman base using the struts and bolts provided
- Place your mattress on top and make up the bed
Tips for a Smooth Setup
- Make sure the two base sections are fully aligned before joining
- Don't place the mattress on until the gas-lift has been tested
- Ensure the headboard struts are fully tightened before use
- Keep all fixings in a bowl so nothing gets lost during assembly
