Our Low Headboards are available in four standard UK bed sizes: 2FT6 Small Single, 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double and 4FT6 Double.
The upholstered headboard measures 60cm high and approximately 1–2" (2.5–5cm) deep, depending on the design.
Each headboard is supplied with wooden fixing struts, giving an overall height of approximately 125cm including the struts.

Fitting is straightforward, but we recommend checking your bed and fixing points before installation.
Before You Start
Make sure you have enough space to position the headboard safely behind your bed.
Before fitting, check that your bed base has suitable headboard fixing points and that they align with the supplied wooden struts.
If you're fitting the headboard to a bed from another manufacturer, we recommend checking compatibility before ordering.
Attaching the Wooden Struts
The wooden struts attach to the back of the upholstered headboard and provide the connection between the headboard and your bed base.
Make sure both struts are positioned evenly and securely attached before fitting the headboard to the bed.
Attaching the Headboard to Your Bed
Position the headboard behind the bed and align the wooden struts with the headboard fixing points on your bed base.
Secure the struts using the appropriate headboard bolts or fixings for your bed. Tighten the fixings sufficiently to hold the headboard securely in position, taking care not to overtighten them.
Adjusting the Headboard Height
The upholstered section of our Low Headboards measures 60cm high.
The wooden struts allow the position of the headboard to be adjusted when fitting it to your bed. The overall height of the headboard and struts is approximately 125cm.
Position the upholstered section at a suitable height in relation to the top of your mattress, taking care to avoid an unnecessary gap between the mattress and headboard.
After Fitting
Once installed:
- Check that the headboard is straight and centred with the bed.
- Make sure both wooden struts are securely fixed.
- Check that the headboard does not move excessively when gently tested.
- Recheck the fixings periodically and tighten them if necessary.
